AI Policy Statement
oVRcome is committed to responsible use and deployment of artificial intelligence to expand access to mental health care while safeguarding the privacy, rights, and well-being of our users. This policy outlines our principles for ethical, transparent, and clinically sound AI practices.

1. Transparency
-
We disclose clearly when and how AI is used in generating or recommending therapeutic content.
-
Clinicians and users are informed when AI plays a role in treatment pathways, recommendations, or exposure content creation.
2. Consent and Data Use
-
Users and clinicians control how their data is used, with the ability to withdraw consent at any time.
-
We do not include personally-identifying information (PII) in prompts or contextual data sent to AI systems.
-
Data sourced from customers may be used with AI systems, provided it has been de-identified. De-identification will be performed either by a human operator, or by an automated system subject to thorough QA testing.
3. Safety and Clinical Oversight
-
We log all inputs and outputs to AI systems in order to conduct ongoing evaluation of therapeutic safety, cultural competence, and age appropriateness.
-
AI models are continuously evaluated for bias, with adjustments made to protect vulnerable groups.
4. Privacy and Security
-
oVRcome operates a rigorous quality management system which incorporates compliance with global privacy and security standards such as HIPAA.
-
Data is encrypted, stored securely, and never shared without consent.
-
To support ongoing quality evaluation, records may be kept of data sent to AI systems. In each case the original data, de-identified query, and AI answer will be stored together to facilitate comparison.
